In 2008, China's reform and opening up business went to its thirtieth year. Looking back at 30, the textile and garment industry has had many unforgettable experiences as well as other industries, and there have been many moving stories and moving memories.

The Chinese clothing press launched the "30 years' reform and opening up" prize winning essay activities, commemorating the great reform and opening up area for 30 years with the experience of those who experience.

Once the essay campaign was launched, it received wide attention and active participation both inside and outside the industry.

China has been reforming and opening up for 30 years.

I have the pleasure to witness the take-off process of Chinese clothing.

I find that many articles and research achievements that describe the process of reform and opening up have marked the opening December 18, 1978 of the party as the starting mark in the third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee, while ignoring her preparatory meeting, that is, the central working conference from November 10, 1978 to December 15th.

In my opinion, during this meeting, the spring breeze of China's reform and opening up has been blown up when Deng Xiaoping discussed the issue of "shifting the focus of the party's work to socialist modernization" from January.

30 years passed, with a wave of fingers.

In the past 30 years, under the guidance of the Party Central Committee, under the leadership of the competent departments and superiors, I have participated in and experienced too many "Chinese clothes for the first time" with all the workers in the industry.

Among them are:

1980: the central craft Academy of Fine Arts set up the first clothing specialty of Chinese higher education institutions, and China's first large-scale clothing anthropometric survey was completed.

1981: the national standard administration promulgated the "national standard for clothing size series GB1335-81"; the first Chinese new pattern garment was made by metric metric unit; the first large-scale clothing exhibition, the new national fashion exhibition, was held in Beijing since the founding of the people's Republic of China.

1982: China fashion research and design center was established.

1983: the first fashion show team of China, the fashion show team of Shanghai fashion company, reported to the Zhongnanhai, displaying the Tang costume and performing 50 games in Beijing.

1984: Children's clothing is published.

1985: the first clothing article published in the first issue of Chinese clothing magazine: "vigilance against a hidden tendency" puts forward the necessity of studying the basic theory of clothing for the first time.

1985: China's first national costume design competition "golden cut" competition was held; the "industrial art design techniques" was published and published; the first time China fashion went to Paris Fashion Expo to participate in the exhibition, which caused a sensation; the national topic "Research on fashion trends in China" was launched at the center of Chinese clothing design and research; the first Chinese fashion trend was released in Beijing; the State Council decided that the clothing industry should be placed under the management of the Ministry of textile industry.

1987: the "clothing tide" special edition was first published, later developed into "China Fashion newspaper". The first National Conference on basic theories of clothing was held. After the meeting, editors of the thesis entitled "struggle for fashion design road" were published. People's daily commented: "the era of Chinese clothing without theory is gone forever."

The Chinese fashion show in Shanghai, dressed in Chinese designer Chen Shanhua, debuted at the Paris International Fashion Festival.

1988: the first Beijing International Conference on basic theories of clothing was successfully held. After the meeting, editors and essays were published. The first Chinese Clothing Institute, Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology, was established. The China fashion research and Design Center helped to organize the first China Fashion Festival, Dalian Fashion Festival.

1989: the Chinese clothing research and design center began to study special functional clothing and carry out the forest fire wear test, which has played a pioneering role in the research of Chinese professional clothing.

1991: China's first clothing brand strategy was launched in Xinjiang Tianshan Wool Textile Co., Ltd., after the strategic copy was published in clothing technology magazine; the fashion design and processing technology demonstration center was launched; the first China fashion model competition was held.

1992: the national garment engineering and technology center was established, and the first model broker company in China, the new silk road model broker company, was established.

1993: the opening ceremony of the first China International Clothing and accessories fair. Valentino, Fei Lei and Pierre katan, the first time in China, were invited to lecture and publish new works of clothing at the International Conference on clothing culture yesterday and today. After that, editors and publishers were published. The China Fashion Designers Association was founded. The first "brothers Cup" International Youth costume design competition was launched.

1994: the first state-level scientific research building in China, the Zhongfu mansion, is completed.
