Chemical Substances Exceeding Standard In China

In March 28th, Greenpeace survey found that German imported garments and textiles from China contained "nonylphenol hydroxyethoxy ester (NPE)", which was discharged into "nonylphenol (NP)" during washing and entered into rivers and lakes with waste water.

Greenpeace experts say that although these substances are harmless to humans, they are also aquatic, fish and shellfish.

Biology

Highly toxic.

Reported that the EU has banned or strictly controlled the use of NPE or NP, but the import of textiles containing such substances no specific provisions.

In a survey conducted by Greenpeace last summer, 52 of the 78 products from China were identified to contain NPE.

China is millions of people plagued by the chemical pollution.

Greenpeace recently tested these products. It was found that 80% of the NPE contained in half samples was precipitated during the first washing period.

Filter out

Greenpeace requires importers to take immediate steps to prevent suppliers from using toxic materials.

Many large fashion companies have already restricted NPE residues, but still exceed the standard.

German quality inspection agencies believe that clothing containing toxic substances is also the same for the human body.
