According to legend, stilts began in Shaanxi.
In the Han and Tang Dynasties, stilts were called long stilts. At first, they did not pretend to be feet. They disguised themselves as women. They showed their slender figure and beautiful appearance. With the lengthening of trousers to the real feet and the setting of Golden Lotus shoes on the lower side, the performance of a pair of beautiful feet on the stage was very vivid. It was the imitation of the traditional opera, and it gradually became the trend and spread from Xi'an to Sichuan.
During the Qianlong period, Wei Changsheng, also known as Wei San, took him to Beiping.
People who play the flower show are effective and are popular with audiences.
Since then, he has been accepted as one of the stunts in the Peking Opera.

In the old stage in China, in order to shape women's image, Peking Opera women (mostly male Dan) need to practice "skills".
But this pair of shoes is not easy to wear, and must undergo strict training and painful training.
SEG Gong can be divided into two kinds: hard stilts and soft stilts, so the seesaw shoes are also divided into "hard stilts shoes" and "soft stilts shoes".
Hard stilts shoes usually use red, white and blue tassels, multicolored lines embroidered patterns, shoes with colored silk spikes, upper heels sewn with a piece of about 10 inches of white cloth, commonly known as "shoe belt".
The sole of the hard stilts is half shoe sole, that is, the front hand is made of white needles, and the bottom of the palm is hollow.
Wearing these shoes requires multiple procedures.
1, bind wood sew: the wooden end is chiseled into the lotus foot shape of the foot binding female, about 3 inches long, the front and the back are round, and the arch of the foot is arched.
The upper end is bovine tongue shaped, with a length of more than 5 inches.
Put your toes down in the stilts when you tie them.
Bind your feet firmly with wooden stilts.

Unlike hard stilts, it uses insoles, which are made of high slope wooden shoes (wrapped in white cloth) in stilts.

No matter whether you wear hard stilts or soft stilts, when the actors stand up, the foot and the ground are all divided into 75 degrees.
The earliest actors in the class started training from an early age.
Mr. Li Jinhong, a famous Peking Opera, recalls that when he studied skills, he spent only three or four years practicing alone.
When Wu dances perform, beat, flutter or fall, they step on each other.
Wooden feet are tied to wooden feet, and they must be practiced as well as real feet.
Wu Dan can only put on seesaw shoes and start learning formally.
Many programs in Peking Opera are based on sedan work.
Liu Wei, the leading actor in the three inch Golden Lotus, spent more than a year practicing in order to perform his work. In the first few days, his toes were so swollen that he could not fit in his shoes. He stood, walked, ran and jumped from school to school. He could only put in a formal rehearsal after a year.
In the two hours of the play, she tiptoed on the ground, skillfully ran round the court, walked on the stage, fell down, turned over, turned around, and danced. She was steady and agile, but not satisfied with her feet.
The seesaw performance is like a ballet dance on the foot. It is graceful, vigorous, and vigorous. Therefore, it is called "Oriental ballet", but it is more difficult than "ballet".
According to the director of Peking Opera Troupe in Wuhan, ballet dancing shoes have a cork on the toe of the shoe, and the actors only use the power of tiptoe when they are rotated on the ground.
And our tipgong requires the actors to be wrapped up in wooden stilts, legs and ankles should be stretched, and the whole feet are off the ground. It is entirely dependent on the strength of the wrist. When the weight of the whole body is pressed on the toes, it will be difficult to train.
It can be seen that the Chinese seesaw is indeed better than the ballet of the West.
The famous Peking Opera players in China are skilled in performing seesaw skills.
For example, Yu Lianquan, a famous actress in Beijing Opera (Xiao Cuihua), has an excellent performance. In his performance of "drunkenness of the imperial concubine", the imperial concubine drunkard, to step on to finish the "Cup" waist down, "lie fish", smell flowers, fan dance, cloud walking, drunken steps and so on, all kinds of body and footwork are more difficult.
