Liu Dake believes that since the beginning of Chinese Convention and exhibition education in 2000, China's exhibition has been developing rapidly since ten years ago. At present, more than 80 colleges and universities have set up exhibition major, and nearly two hundred vocational colleges have set up relevant majors.

From the overall perspective, MICE education has achieved remarkable results over the past few years.

It is mainly embodied in the following five aspects: first, the basic echelon system of education is basically completed; at present, a complete academic system has been formed from specialist, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students; and two, scientific research is basically completed, and has now been realized from the National Social Science Fund, the Humanities and social sciences fund of the Ministry of education, the provincial and ministerial level funds and the horizontal social service projects.

The three is that the curriculum and teaching material system are basically completed, and there are no teaching staff and no textbooks in the past ten years. Today, there are not only hundreds of exhibition materials published, but also some textbooks have been included in the national teaching materials series. Four, the construction of the teaching staff has basically been completed. At present, the scale of the National Exhibition teachers has been estimated to be over 1000, and a relatively stable teaching team has been formed. Five, the professional layout of universities has basically been completed. Due to the limitation of the market capacity, the overall scale of exhibition education has already met the needs of the development of the whole industry, and the expansion space of professional layout has been very limited.

Although China's Convention and exhibition education has made considerable progress, Professor Liu Dake also mentioned many puzzles in education at present.

Mainly reflected in the outstanding employment advantages of graduates, teachers' career path is not smooth, exhibition professional boundaries blurred, talent training lack of success path, academia and industry differences are obvious.

Liu Dake pointed out that there are many reasons for the formation of these problems. Among them, colleges and universities are following the market's "short-sighted behavior" in order to attract students. Teachers and teachers are trying to strive for educational resources to exaggerate the prospects of exhibition education, the false signals from the rapid growth of the exhibition industry to the society, the exaggeration of the employment prospect of the exhibition profession by the media and a few people, and the expectation difference between the University and the industry, which are the main reasons for these problems.

Besides, fluent foreign language level is very important for doing well in mice education.

Liu Dake believes that as a platform for commercial trade and information exchange, the development of MICE activities is closely related to the overall macroeconomic situation. The new normal of the Convention and exhibition industry is a natural extension of the new normal of the national economy in the exhibition area.
