When reporters saw Liao Hequn in the hostel of the Municipal Sports Bureau, it was difficult to link the ordinary old lady with the famous celebrities in the textile industry more than half a century ago. Liao Hequn, born in 1931 in a poor peasant family in Sichuan, has a special feeling for the party. "When I was 14 years old, I worked as a child laborer in the 611 factory of the Kuomintang in Chongqing, living in a straw shed, eating rotten rice, wearing clothes, and being beaten by the foreman." Liao Hequn recalled that after liberation, the pride of being a master of the house made her enter the workshop like a clockwork clock. "Spinning, spinning yarn, letting more people wear new clothes" became her pet phrase.

The seemingly simple work for yarn joint includes 7 steps: yarn pulling, seeker, wire covering and intubation. Liao Hequn studied the experience of the veteran worker with an open mind, and worked hard at the dormitory with the "waste knot" after work. "The number of joints per minute has increased from 16 to 24, with a success rate of more than 95%."

This spirit of not giving up and willing to study has not only made Liao Hequn's knotting efforts go by leaps and bounds, but also made her familiar with other operation processes on looms. The empty spindle of each machine has been reduced from the past 8 to 0. The roving time has been reduced from seven or eight minutes to two minutes and a half minutes, and the stand ability has increased from 400 to 1200 ingots.

Liao Hequn's method of operation suddenly shocked the whole factory, and the spinning girl who was under 20 years old took the initiative to become a teacher and taught her workmates without reservation. In order to help workers Qu Shulan overcome the shortage of white flowers, long tour time and bad cleaning sections, Liao Hequn signed the contract of mutual aid and mutual learning with her. In April 1956, Liao Hequn, who was chosen as the national model worker, came to Beijing for the first time. "After the commendation, we will go back to the guesthouse, and we have stopped a row of cars outside the door, saying that we are going to take the model workers to visit the city of Beijing. At that time most people refused to get on the train. Some people wanted to hurry up to study in the Hotel, and some people wanted to go back early because they were thinking about the work of the unit." Liao Hequn recalled that Premier Zhou Enlai had long expected this and sent someone to advise you not only to work, but also to rest and play. "If you put it in the old society, you will never get such respect." Liao Hequn was determined to go back to work harder and work hard to repay the party's kindness.

In 1959, Liao Hequn, who was re elected as the national model worker, received an invitation from Premier Zhou. Liao Hequn has been invited to the Tiananmen tower for two days to attend the National Day ceremony. I remember one night before the national day, we were all too excited to sleep.

This is her job and everything she should do. "Nowadays, people are happier than one generation. There are still holidays on national day. There are holidays like Qingming, Mid Autumn Festival and so on. The working environment is getting better and better. What other excuses do we have to shirk and not work well?" The old man sighed.

From working in 1945 to retiring in 1983, Liao Hequn worked in Chongqing 611 textile mill, Sichuan first cotton mill, Guilin cotton mill, Hunan silk factory and Changsha sheet factory. In her timetable, the state of labor is a normal state. Even if she is ill in bed now, she will find something to do as long as her spirit is a little better.

Liao Hequn recalled that she came to Changsha with her army in 1970 and worked in Hunan silk factory. It was the busiest and fullest part of the year. Every morning, after breakfast, it hurried to the workshop. Overtime was the most normal thing. It was relatively early to do so at 89 o'clock in the evening. When the production task is more intense, it will even last night. "I have never been short of diligence, and I have overfulfilled the tasks assigned by my superiors every year." Textile spun yarn has certain requirements for temperature, so the temperature in textile workshop is above 35 C all the year round, and the temperature of workshop is over 40 C in summer. Every time a worker gets sick due to a fever in the workshop, Liao Hequn is always the first to take the initiative to stand up for his colleagues and never complain.

At the age of 40, the organization appointed Liao Hequn as a cadre. She sat in the office for a few days. She found the superior department asking for a return. "Production is very meaningful. I want to be a worker all the time." In this way, Liao Hequn became a lifelong worker. "Nowadays young people are generally unwilling to be workers, and feel boring, tired and have no future. I think my experience can tell them at least: as long as we do what we want, we can achieve success in every industry. Innovation is not necessarily a great invention. Improving an operation is also an innovation. There are opportunities for innovation everywhere. " She said.

Liao Hequn's truck technology has always been praised in the works. Until 1983, she retired from the Changsha bedsheet factory, and her technology was not outdated. The old man said she had lived in Changsha for nearly 50 years, witnessing the rapid development of Changsha and proud of living in Changsha. Some time ago, when the old man saw the dream smart factory on TV, he made an exclamation "incredible" when he made a complete set of four pieces of finished products in 15 minutes. "It's all automated, with fewer people, and the environment in the workshop is much better." If only I were young, I could work in such a modern textile workshop.

Qi Yongji, Liao Hequn's youngest son, told reporters that the old people never asked what their future study or career would be. In recent years, Liao Hequn is often hospitalized because of her poor economy, but she has always maintained a positive and optimistic attitude towards life. "Now the days are getting better.
