Hongkong Fast Fashion I.T Joint French Fashion Brand To Expand Its Business In China
In 2008, the French fashion brand Zadig & Voltaire set up a joint venture with 50% of the famous fashion clothing group I.T of Hongkong, China, and formally introduced the brand to China. At present, the brand is actively expanding the Chinese market through the joint venture with the help of I.T.
Zadig & Voltaire is the most advanced multi brand boutique in I.T, and has opened an independent store in Hongkong. In 2017, when they first held the mainland's first show in Beijing, they began to develop their business in mainland China. At present, there are 11 independent stores in China: 4 in Hongkong, 3 in Beijing, 2 in Shanghai, and 1 in Hangzhou and Macao respectively.
Zadig & Voltaire, founded in 1997 by Thierry Gillier, is a French fashion brand. The grandfather of Thierry Gillier is one of the founders of the French sports fashion brand Lacoste and designed the classic brand Polo shirt. Thierry Gillier started the business of knitwear, and founded its own clothing brand Zadig in 1995. Two years later, he met the fashion designer girlfriend Amelie and changed the brand name to Zadig & Voltaire.
At present, brand annual sales of about 300 million euros, footprint in 33 countries, there are 345 independent stores in the world. Jean Jacques Gu e vel, chief executive officer of Zadig & Voltaire, said they have worked with I.T for more than ten years and are now hoping to further expand the Chinese market. In 5 years, they hope to set up 45 independent stores in China. Then. Sales in China will account for 10% to 15% of total sales.
In April last year, TA and Associates hired Rothschild bank to help the brand find new investors and prepare for the next stage of development.
