As a professor and doctoral supervisor of the Textile College of Zhejiang University of science and technology, Han Jian devoted himself to the research and education of textile materials, and promoted the development of the industry with innovative power.

Study abroad and absorb frontier ideas

Textile silk is a traditional industry in Zhejiang Province. The silk export situation is good and the development prospect is broad. In 1980, Han Jian was admitted to the silk Engineering Department of Zhejiang Silk Institute of technology. After graduation, he stayed in the university to teach and obtained a master's degree in 1991.

With the continuous improvement of his studies, Han Jian feels that there is a big gap in textile processing technology between China and developed countries, especially in the field of industrial textile materials and application technology, which is still relatively weak. "Japan's national Kanazawa University has always maintained communication with our school, and textile is its dominant discipline, so it naturally chose to study there to broaden our horizons."

In 1998, after studying Japanese for a year, Han Jian embarked on the road to study Japanese Bo. During his study abroad, Han Jian continued to learn knowledge and improve his ability, learning how to do knowledge and scientific research with his tutor. He was greatly touched by the academic atmosphere of Japanese universities. "Japanese professors basically have to work until 7:00 p.m., associate professors leave work at 8:00 p.m., and young teachers are busy until about 9:00 p.m., which deeply affects me."

Due to the different production and management concepts in the textile industry, Japan tends to develop high value-added products and strive to reach the top in the subdivision field. In order to get more access to the world's most advanced textile materials and processing technology, in addition to working hard in the laboratory, Han Jian also actively participated in international academic exchange activities. "There are international textile exhibitions every year in Japan, as well as many exhibitions on emerging products and technologies. You can learn about the process and direction of industrial development around the world." Even at his own expense, he never fails and enjoys it.

In 2003, Han Jian, who graduated with a doctorate, was invited to teach in the Graduate School of Kanazawa University in Japan. However, aware of the greater potential for the development of domestic textile technology and the need for talents in this field, Han Jianyi, who was sentimentally attached, decided to return home and make his own contribution to the development of the textile industry.

Opening up and innovating to serve the industry with scientific and technological achievements

In 2005, Han Jian, who returned home soon, went to Zhejiang Provincial Science and technology department for a temporary post. At the same time, the province carried out the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries. On the basis of mastering the scientific and technological layout and development direction of the whole province, Han Jian ran all over the main backbone enterprises in the province. "In more than two years, I have gained a lot. Combined with the development of high-tech and industrial textiles that I have learned abroad, I have a clearer understanding of the new growth points of the industry, the core technologies that need to be solved urgently and the key common technologies, which have laid a good foundation for the next scientific research."

After returning to school, Han Jian began to study industrial textile materials. "Development of complete set of Engineering Technology for super large capacity, high efficiency and flexible differential polyester filament" is an important project led by his team. As the domestic polyester fiber production accounts for 80% of the world, and Zhejiang Province is a large production province, it is imperative to improve the production efficiency. "This technology is based on the actual situation of large-scale production in China. In the past, chemical fiber spinning needs to be polymerized to make plastic particles, which are transported to downstream enterprises at normal temperature, and then heated and melted for spinning. Now, after spinning and polymerization, it can be directly transported through pipes, and the steps of temperature reduction and temperature rise are omitted, which makes the spinning quality more stable, greatly reduces the production cost and improves the production efficiency Productivity. " Han Jian said. The project won the second prize of national science and Technology Progress Award in 2014. Today, this technology has been widely used in related enterprises in the province. "The price of polyester fiber has also decreased from 100000 yuan per ton to 10000 yuan per ton, which has improved the competitiveness of products in the international market."

Following the direction of industrial development and strategic layout is a major criterion for scientific research in Colleges and universities. Over the years, Han Jian and his team have developed textile materials for transportation, highway subgrade materials, high-speed rail seat materials and curtains, etc. each material has different requirements according to its use, function, and duration. For example, the inflatable membrane of stadiums and stadiums should be used as long as possible on the basis of meeting the requirements of high strength and self-cleaning; the requirements of membrane structure building materials for environmental engineering on sunlight resistance, flame retardant and antistatic are higher; the interior decoration materials for vehicles should strengthen color fastness and reduce pollution These achievements have been transformed into powerful productive forces, serving all aspects of economic and social development.

Focus on teaching and research, strive to achieve leaping and catching up

In the field of scientific research, Han Jian has made fruitful achievements. He has successively presided over and undertaken three national science and technology support projects, one international science and technology cooperation project of the Ministry of science and technology, five provincial major science and technology special key projects, three key scientific research projects of the Ministry of Education, key projects of provincial science and technology plan, and provincial key laboratory projects, as well as a number of horizontal scientific research projects There are 1 prize, 2 second prizes of science and technology progress of Zhejiang Province, 1 first prize of science and technology progress award of China Textile Industry Association, and 2 second prizes. Today, he is the director of the Key Laboratory of "industrial textile materials and preparation technology" in Zhejiang Province and the leader of the key scientific and technological innovation team of "industrial textile material technology" in Zhejiang Province.

In the process of training a new generation of textile science and technology talents, Han Jian attaches great importance to the construction of students' international vision and encourages them to carry out more international exchanges and learning. As the person in charge of Asian fiber cooperation and exchange platform in China, he actively organized academic exchanges with Japan, South Korea and other places to build an international cooperation platform. "Although there is still a certain gap between China's high-performance industrial textile materials and the world's leading level, but now this field has high scientific and technological content and great market potential. Only by strengthening scientific and technological innovation and mastering core technologies can we win competitive advantages and achieve leapfrog catching up." Han Jian said.

While focusing on his own work, Han Jian is also concerned about the industrial development of his hometown Ninghai. Every year, he will return to Ninghai to have a look and actively participate in some exchange activities organized by his hometown. "If Ninghai enterprises have research and development needs in textile materials, I am willing to cooperate with them to help enterprises realize transformation and upgrading with their own technology and ability."
