The problem of black fish skin tanning technology, which was jointly tackled by the food and Nutrition Department of Zhejiang University in Yuhang and Hangzhou, has greatly improved the utilization value of black fish.
Yuhang District of Hangzhou is a famous town of black fish. Its aquaculture area is more than 1800 Mu and its water volume is about more than 4500 tons. In the eyes of experts from water and fishery companies, black fish are all treasures. Scales can be sold at a price of ten thousand yuan per ton; black fish fat can be used as fish oil for cultured soft shelled turtle; black fish swim bladder costs 1.5 yuan each. Deep processing of black fish can be made into small packaged food such as sauce black fish, drunk black fish and so on. Black fish bone can be ground into powder and processed into high calcium fish balls and other products. But the black fish skin has not been developed. In October 2000, the company signed an agreement with the food and Nutrition Department of Zhejiang University to develop the black fish skin tanning project. After nearly 3 years of continuous research and improvement, the project has been preliminarily successful. More than 2 kilograms of black fish skin, after the leather processing process, the strength is far greater than the pig skin and cowhide, its toughness is better than pig skin, cowhide, hands pull hard will not tear it.
According to the experts' prediction, black fish skin leather is a new field of scientific research, and its economic benefits are immeasurable. At the same time, the successful development of this technology will greatly enhance the added value of black fish products, prevent the decline of the black fish culture efficiency, and at the same time, further improve the overall management system of black fish breeding, breeding, marketing and disease prevention.
