Brief Introduction

It is a full-time general institution of higher learning. It belongs to the provincial education department. The school is located in the national higher vocational education reform. It was built in 1958. In June 2001, it was upgraded to a higher level by the national key secondary vocational school.

The school covers an area of 825 Mu and a building area of 291 thousand square meters. The garden style, digitalization, ecological type and the development of modern green campus provide excellent environment for the growth and success of students. There are more than 12000 students, including 9700 students from high school. Now there are 56 specialties (including professional directions), including six departments and two departments, including the school of creative and art design, the Department of textile and chemical engineering, the Department of clothing, the Department of electrical and mechanical engineering, the Department of information technology, the Department of economics and trade, the Department of foreign languages, the international textile and Raffles International College, and the Ministry of continuing education.

School teachers are strong, and there are 538 full-time teachers, including 3 professors, 120 high school teachers, 200 double qualified teachers, 118 doctoral and master degree teachers. There are over 30 educational experts enjoying the State Council allowance, ten top national fashion designers, and provincial and municipal excellent teachers. In addition, there are more than 40 visiting professors and 14 foreign teachers.

School teaching equipment is advanced. It has a variety of advanced teaching instruments and equipment worth more than 6582.3 million yuan, and has a strong lineup of scientific research, especially in the physical and mechanical properties test and process test of fiber and fabric, the analysis and detection of dyes and auxiliaries, the new textile design and clothing design.

Every year, many fashion show students win prizes in various national competitions. The students who are trained by schools are well received by the enterprises. The annual employment rate of graduates is maintained at over 98%. A large number of outstanding talents have emerged in the graduates: the top ten fashion designers in China, Hu Jihua, and the ten best young people in the city (a designer with an annual salary of more than one million dollars) has been called "the highest paid designer in China" by the press, the chief designer of the "clothing" Co., Ltd., the top ten fashion designers of Bian Jiawei, Xiang Wenjun, the national model worker Wu Changmei, Dr. Tao Yongchun, and the performing star star (known as "the first Asian temperament actress" by Japanese media).

The school signed a cooperation agreement with the French Eurasian School of management, the Dominican Institute of technology and the Raffles College of Singapore. The establishment of the Textile Academy, Raffles International College, is a joint venture between six professional schools, including fashion design, interior design, graphic design, multimedia design, fashion marketing and management, business administration, etc.

It has been awarded more than 100 honorary titles: the national advanced vocational and technical education unit, the provincial civilized campus, the civilized city unit, the ecological garden institution and so on.
