The company launched its sales in China after the sales of Adidas's products in Beijing in 2008.
Adidas's sales in China in the third quarter have returned to growth, aiming to achieve a two digit growth rate in the Chinese market in the next five years.
In a statement on Tuesday, Adidas said that the company plans to build stores in lower tier cities and configure them according to lifestyle needs and disposable income levels, with the goal of expanding urban coverage from the current 550 to 1400.
Last week, the American retail giant GAAP and the American steak restaurant Morton Restaurant Group opened its first store in China.
With rising incomes and rising awareness of brands in big cities, foreign companies are coming to China to promote sales, hoping to offset their weakness in domestic demand.
