Based on the analysis of more than 6300 female figures, Istook identified seven general female stature.

They are rectangular, spoon shaped, triangular, inverted triangular, hourglass, bottom hourglass and top hourglass.

  


About 46% of women are classified as rectangles. Their breasts and buttocks are of the same size, and the waist is nine inches smaller than the hips or breasts.

  


A little more than 20% of women are scoop shaped or plow shaped, and their hips are at least two inches larger than their breasts.

  


Nearly 14% of women belong to inverted triangles. Their breasts are 3 inches or more larger than their hips.

  


The hourglass figure is almost the same in the chest and buttocks, but the waist is very thin. The analysis shows that only 8% of the women belong to this figure.

  


Istook hopes that this study will lead to changes in the garment industry and allow manufacturers to start producing more women's clothing.

  


"What we are trying to do now is to make producers and retailers aware of the idea that people's bodies are actually different," Istook said.

If we can serve the four largest proportions, we will cover nearly 90% of the market.

Nowadays, the service area of garment industry is less than 90%, because their size system is based on hourglass shape.
