Canton Fair Japanese Purchasers

Canton Fair

Data released yesterday showed two days before the opening.

Purchaser

The number reached 72371, an increase of 14.29% over the 108th period, an increase of 5.54% over the 107th period.

It is surprising that the Japanese business opportunity, which was originally thought to be "shocked" by the earthquake, did not fall, but it rose to two days before the opening.

Japan

The number of purchasers reached 1239, an increase of 16.89% over the same period last year.

Does the increase in the number of purchasers reveal Japan's surge in demand for Chinese goods after the earthquake?

How many Japanese businessmen are there? Buyers are growing rapidly and the base is low.

Yesterday, reporters tried to find a buyer from Japan in the Pazhou Exhibition Hall, but failed.

Many exhibitors said they had not consulted Japanese businessmen since the opening.

But official statistics from the Canton Fair are very conclusive: Japanese buyers who arrived two days before the opening date increased by 16.89% over the same period last year.

"This is not surprising."

A staff member of the Canton Fair told reporters that the total number of Japanese purchasers at the meeting was only 1239, compared with the total volume of large passenger traffic that broke through 70 thousand.

It is not easy to meet Japanese businessmen in the exhibition hall by such a "dilution".

Is the order still in Japan? Part of the order is cancelled.

For many foreign trade enterprises that export to Japan, the main worry is the order due to earthquake losses.

According to a number of companies with Japanese orders, the company had already received the news of the cancellation of Japanese orders shortly after the great earthquake. They also predicted that the Japanese market would not improve in the near future.

Xu Weimin, chairman of Shanghai Silk Group Co, told reporters that Japan has been an important market for China's textile and clothing exports. The earthquake has had a certain impact on the retail industry in Japan.

At present, the company's business with Japanese customers is relatively normal, but it is understood that in March, Japan's retail sales have dropped by 30% - 40%, and the estimated decline will be even greater in April.

The cooperation between Anji Tian Hao bamboo and wood products Co., Ltd. and Japanese customers is still normal.

"It may be that our customers are not in the quake zone, but the freight is increased."

The Taiwan foundation industry limited, which is in the import exhibition area, mainly produces small electric cranes.

The Japanese market accounts for about 20% of the company's annual export volume, but its customers are still mainly digesting inventory.

"The impact will not be obvious until the end of the year."

How will the Japanese market change? Chinese enterprises will meet the opportunity of 10 years.

Compared with the "retail" type of ordinary buyers, the voice from the large multinational purchasing group in Japan may give the enterprise a reassurance.

Yesterday, the large multinational company procurement recommendation will usher in the first Japanese purchasing company TRIAL.

The large supermarket chain, which ranks the highest in Japan, has sent about 100 procurement teams, and the purchase amount is expected to reach US $3 million.

The peak of overseas development of the company is that at present, Japan's domestic materials are in short supply and demand is very high, and the volume of future purchases will only increase.

"Especially in the next half year, with the development of redevelopment, the scale of our purchases will be greatly improved."

"Japan needs too many commodities after the earthquake."

"Japan's post quake reconstruction is just beginning, and the growth in demand for all kinds of goods, especially building materials, will last at least 5 to 10 years," said Arakawa Haruko, head of the Chinese Chamber of Japan's Hong Kong business.

Japan's South Hong Kong business is famous for its DIY building hardware supermarket. After the earthquake, its business grew by at least 10%.

"In the same period, we only had at least 30 million yen purchases, and about 90% of them were from China."

Arakawa Haruko said that after the Japanese earthquake, the sales of poplar plywood even exceeded 100 times.

But in Arakawa Haruko's view, Japanese retail enterprises have entered China's procurement not only because of the earthquake.

In fact, after the global financial crisis, the share of direct retailer purchases has been increasing.

It is true that at this Canton Fair, Quixote, Trial and other Japanese retailers have been rushing to China for gold. Cheap Chinese products have great advantages.

"We hope that in the near future, the proportion of sales of direct imports will increase from 30% to 50%, thus reaching the level of 1 billion 500 million US dollars, and the vast majority of products will also come from China."

Arakawa Haruko said.
