The first year of the implementation of the economic cooperation framework agreement (ECFA), as the Secretary General of Taiwan Textile Development Association, Huang Weiji attached great importance to the event and personally led a large Taiwan Textile Group to participate in the exhibition. The Taiwan garment industry association, the Taiwan knitting industry association and the Taiwan sweater knitting Industry Association also participated in the exhibition.

Chen Jianming, the vice president of Quanzhou Taiwanese business association and chairman of Shishi Branch of Quanzhou Taiwanese business association, told the author that Taiwan funded enterprises' exhibitors include 18 Taiwan funded enterprises. Apart from Shishi's Taiwan funded textile and garment enterprises, there are Taiwanese funded enterprises from Nanan, Jinjiang and Huian. The reason why these companies have signed up to participate in the exhibition is largely to see the new opportunities for cooperation and industrial docking between the two sides.
Li Wulin, Secretary General of Quanzhou Taiwan Business Association, and Secretary General of Shishi Branch of Quanzhou Taiwan Business Association, said that since the implementation of ECFA, 136 textiles and 21 mainland textiles in Taiwan have begun to enjoy the preferential tariff reduction provided by the other side, and the platform advantage displayed by Haibo club has given Taiwan businessmen more confidence in the future exchanges and cooperation between the two sides of the textile industry.
Li Wulin said that after the signing of ECFA, the textile and garment industry in Shishi and Haixi areas is at a critical moment of pformation and upgrading. Haibo will let Taiwan's textile and garment enterprises see hope and believe that Taiwan's Island enterprises will take a more active attitude to participate in it. The two sides will join hands to complement each other and jointly develop the world market.
