Vietnamese Textile And Garment Prices RiseNuclear Energy Crisis

Consumer price index

(CPI) increased by 3.32% over the previous 3 months, the highest monthly rate in the past 20 years. The cumulative CPI in the 4 months of this year has risen 9.64%, far exceeding the 7% target of CPI this year.

The price of basic goods has risen sharply, especially in food, food and petrol.

In April this year, the prices of 11 basic goods increased. Due to the high gasoline prices, pport prices continued to rise, up 6.04%, food prices rose 5.61%, hotel service prices rose 4.5%, food prices rose 2.47%, residential and building materials (including electricity, water, fuel and rent) prices rose 4.38%, and textile and clothing and furniture prices rose 1.63% and 1.38%, respectively.

Li Chunyi, vice chairman of the NationalFinancialSupervisionCouncil, said that if the Central Bank of Vietnam continues to adopt the monetary tightening policy, the CPI index will be controlled and will not continue to rise after April.
