Australian clothing can be summed up in two words - leisure. On the streets of Sydney, you can not see the Parisian fashion, the noble of Londoners, the elegance of Milan people. But Australian colorful costumes highlight the easy-going, friendly and simple Australian people.

At work:

Every Monday to five, between 9 a.m. and five p.m., the office workers in the city are all dressed. Men usually wear suits, ties, leather shoes and briefcases, while women wear lapels, short skirts and high heels.

After work:

When Australians come home from work, everyone changes into a light casual wear. Because most of the cities in Australia are warm in the four seasons and long in summer, people usually wear short blouses or short skirts when they are off duty and on weekends. Most jeans and cotton gowns are chosen in autumn and winter.

Social contact:

Australians generally inherit the European tradition, and dress up on formal occasions. Men wear or rent or wear black dresses. The ladies carefully choose a favorite evening gown. They wear appropriate jewelry and perfume. Even if they spend two hours dressing up to socialize for an hour, the Aussie is also willing. Perhaps they cherish such opportunities.

Aged:

It is not the young but the retired elderly who are most dressed in Australia. They are always dressed in the brightest clothes and wear, almost without any occasion or time. The old men like to wear the old-fashioned thin light coloured suits left by young people in the four seasons and match a British light coloured hat.

Don't pay attention to famous brand:

People who are familiar with Australia will have a feeling that the people there are fastidious about their clothes, but they don't pay attention to famous brands. Few people can speak out the names of some world-famous clothing brands. Even those who know the famous brand and can afford to buy it do not want to spend money on designer clothes, because in the eyes of Australians, housing and automobiles should be more important and practical than brand clothes.

The biggest selling costumes in Australia are shirts, slacks, jeans, swimsuits, beach pants, slippers and sneakers. Most of these products are from China, India, Malaysia, South Korea and Indonesia.
