Costume Liu Yan Interview

Liu Yan belongs to a certain kind of person. You can say she is tall, and you can say she is arrogant, but you can not deny her elegance or high end. She has a religious worship for clothes. As a designer, she was not a designer, so her French study lasted two years.

   A likes France so she likes it. clothing

Interview with Liu Yan, she said she was in her shop and arrived at half past eight a.m. Her shop is on the Union Road, a senior clothing store that has existed for ten years. The shop is open only from two o'clock to six p.m., and it is high fashion, exquisite and expensive. The costumes were designed by Liu Yan and her partner, Gao Shuang. Market I can't see it. " Liu Yan sat gracefully across the press and showed an appreciation of his work.

In those days, Liu Yan took part in the French training course for French students studying in the Dalian municipal government. After learning French for 10 months, he embarked on the road of studying abroad in 1998 with a vision of France and Paris. "At that time, I was not a fashion designer, but I liked clothes because I like France."

Liu Yan worked at the Dalian clothing research institute to do intelligence information work and do research on clothing theory. Because of the nature of her work, she wears clothes from all over the world. Fashion trend And the forefront of information are very interested, especially for the clothing capital of the world, Paris is even more persistent. When the chance to study in France came, the French fans grasped the opportunity with excitement.

Love for France, and then produced a love of clothing, Liu Yan therefore ushered in his life transformation. "The designer who went to France came back in a year, and I had no foundation to learn it for two years before I came back." In 1999, when he returned from the Dalian fashion designer, Liu Yan linger in the romance of foreign countries. He continued studying for a year, and won the double qualifications of costume designers and craftsmen. During his stay in France, Liu Yan's works participated in the Second World Youth designers competition, and his works went to the Le Louvre Museum.

  B, I am a designer.

Unlike other designers, Liu Yan did not decide what to do in the first few years after coming back from France, and returned to France. It was not until 2002 that she decided to develop in Dalian. That year, she set up her own company to run two clothing brands.

Liu Yan has been struggling to sell his brand in those years. "Design clothing and business clothing are two very large areas. I can't. I am a designer. I am very professional in marketing." Liu Yan spoke frankly of his weaknesses. As many people are concerned about, if the design of clothing does not sell, but also to make money? Liu Yan's design is from an artistic point of view, and "sell" is related to many factors, sometimes selling things even have nothing to do with art.

In order to survive, Liu Yan has made professional clothes and made student suits. She has her own factory and her own workers. The factory has a maximum of more than 70 people. A designer who had read foreign ink in France actually made a garment company that only made money, which was a waste for Liu Yan, or a question of no comparison. Finally, in the year before last, Liu Yan withdrew from the shopping mall. "I love clothes so much, but these things cost me a lot of time." Liu Yan began to subtract himself, and knew what he could not do before he knew what to do. Liu Yan's subtraction in marketing is to add addition to costume design.

C is committed to art and clothing inheritance.

In the conversation with Liu Yan, the reporter suddenly felt that the word "costumes" spoken by the fashion designer was two kinds of things in our usual sense. When she said the two words of "heritage", this feeling became more intense.

"For me, clothing is not a fast moving consumer goods, it is not lost after wearing, clothing can be passed on." In Liu Yan's eyes, clothing is a work of art, and it should have the characteristics of art.

Liu Yan is now committed to advanced fashion customization. She only designs for people who understand art or have artistic pursuits. "Your design fee should be very expensive?" art, its value should not be reflected in practicality. Liu Yan admitted that her client had to pay 30 thousand yuan for the fee, so she could start designing a series of costumes for them. She said, because the design of art takes time, the design fee of 30 thousand yuan, she can have time to specially design for customers. Her slogan is: thirty thousand yuan, you can own a private designer. {page_ Break}

Liu Yan is an environmentalist. She sees the waste of clothing very distressing. "The biggest waste is food, and the second is fabric." I want to make my clothes more refined through my own design, which may reduce waste. " Once in the street, she saw the clothes she had designed ten years ago and the clothes she wore. She had a sense of satisfaction.

Liu Yan likes to deal with aggressive women. "Motivated women also have an upward awareness of clothing requirements." They all say that they smell women, Liu Yan knows women through clothes, and those women who have strong sense of self-restraint can see it, and vice versa.

The Dalian costume festival made Liu Yan feel alive. "It's like a pilgrimage to remind myself that I am still alive and I have to work hard." Liu Yan has almost religious worship for clothing and costume design.
