Traditional elements deduce Chinese wedding dress

This competition requires not only Chinese elements but also a certain proportion of silk fabrics.

Judging from the entries, the contestants used their creative designs to express their perfect interpretation of the Chinese wedding dress.

These works, such as mosaic, embroidery, and other traditional handicraft, or the use of the special meaning of the patterns, such as fans, dragons and Phoenix, combined with the use of silk fabrics, blend the noble and gorgeous features of silk into romantic and festive wedding dresses. Even the names of the works are full of the lingering charm of Chinese classical poetry, such as "crimson lips", "Phoenix seeking Phoenix" and "flowers for media".

The prize winning work is "Luan Feng Ming" designed by Chen Ying, a professional designer of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University.

The design of the work is inspired by the totem of Phoenix.

Phoenix is the king of hundreds of birds in ancient Chinese legends. It is the totem of Han nationality as well as the dragon.
