According to Finland science and technology news magazine, Finland VTT technology research center, Artaud University and Tampere University of Technology are developing new regenerated textile fibers in the "cellulose design world" project (a major technological development project of Tekes, Finland national technological innovation Bureau).

The dissolution of waste textiles will provide an opportunity for a large number of waste materials to be used in textile production.

It is understood that the new technology can recycle cellulose fiber textiles, which not only breaks through the limitation of landfill treatment, but also helps to promote the effective use of materials.

At present, scientists are working on the method of separating cellulose molecules from waste textiles such as cotton by means of highly efficient and environmentally friendly solvents.

There are several ways to dissolve cellulose at present. They have made remarkable progress in the past 10 years.

One of them is the Ioncell-F method of Artaud University, which uses ionic solvents developed by University of Helsinki.

VTT's role in the project includes cleaning large staple textiles and preparing suitable forms for the application of solvents.

Regulations on the termination of textile waste dumping have been introduced and will take effect on January 1, 2016.

Although the textile has been reused and the method of mechanical recovery has been reduced.

Burdens, but large textiles containing poor or badly stained materials limit the opportunity for recycling.

However, the new method has increased the possibility of textile waste utilization, said Ali Harlem Yu, Professor of VTT technology research center in Finland.

In view of the treatment of textile waste, Finland is actively studying new industrial solutions.

The VTT Technology Research Center's report shows that the fabric that is worn or even stained with a lot of stains can be obtained as good as the original or better than the original.

For high value products, textile recycling saves raw materials.
