Ministry Of Commerce: The Consumer Market Is Expected To Maintain A Steady Growth Trend In The Second Half Of The Year.
The head of the market operation Department of the Ministry of Commerce said on the 17 th that the domestic consumer market in the first half of the year was generally stable and expected to maintain steady growth in the second half of the year.
The person in charge said that the consumer market in the first half of the year showed several characteristics.
The basic living expenses are exuberant. In the first half of the year, retail sales of daily necessities, Chinese and Western medicines, Cereals, Oils and foodstuffs and beverages increased by 14.1%, 10.9%, 10.4% and 9.9% respectively.
Steady development of service consumption. In the first half of the year, the national food and beverage revenue increased by 9.4% compared with the same period last year, and the consumption expenditure of education, culture, entertainment and medical care increased by 10.9% and 9.5% respectively. Service consumption accounts for 49.4% of the final consumption expenditure of residents, up 0.6 percentage points over the same period last year.
Retail sales grew faster. In the first half of the year, online retail sales of physical goods increased by 21.6% over the same period last year, accounting for 19.6% of the total retail sales of consumer goods. The state post office data show that in the first half of the year, the volume of express delivery business in the whole country was 27 billion 760 million, an increase of 25.7% over the same period. According to the Ministry of Commerce's big data monitoring, during the "6 / 18" Shopping Festival, the retail sales of physical goods network increased 27.5% year-on-year.
Rural and Midwest growth is leading. In the first half of the year, the retail sales of rural consumer goods grew by 9.1% over the same period last year, an increase of 0.8 percentage points over that of cities and towns. The growth rate of the central and western regions maintained a leading position. From 1 to May, the total retail sales of social consumer goods in Jiangxi, Yunnan, Henan, Hubei and Sichuan increased by more than 10%, higher than the national average.
Consumer prices rose moderately. In the first half of this year, consumer prices rose by 2.2% over the same period, or 0.4 percentage points from the first quarter, of which 2.7% rose by 2.7% in June.
At the same time, the growth rate of cars, oil and products, clothing, building materials, furniture and household appliances in the first half of the year is much more obvious.
