Ted Haney, director general of Canada's Hemp business alliance, introduced the status quo and regulations of hemp in Canada. In recent years, the Canadian hemp industry has achieved rapid development, especially in 2019, and the planting area is expanding, which is expected to reach 150 thousand hectares. In terms of trade, the export is mainly hemp seed, mainly exported to the United States, South Korea and other countries. Fiber processing capability needs to be further improved; hemp extraction is expanding. In 2023, the planting of hemp in China will reach 490 thousand hectares.
