However, the aramid fiber has a large initial modulus, so it is difficult to process high-quality yarn. After many attempts of re research and re experiment, the team applied the "high efficiency and short process embedded composite spinning technology", which was awarded the first prize of national science and technology progress, during which the yarn production was put into practice, and the "fabric version" national flag also had the basic rudiment.
However, when the flag, which has overcome the technical difficulties of high-performance aramid fiber dyeing, went to Beijing for space environment simulation experiment after a series of bottom-up experiments, there was a problem of pigment cross-linking, and the development was once in a bottleneck.
"Since the pigments on the market can't fully meet the experimental conditions, we'll develop them ourselves!" after the conversion of ideas, the team finally used the previous original achievements - "superfine pulverization of high-quality natural polymer materials and high value-added reuse technology" to prepare micro nano silk powder, and developed a new color paste, which "put on a protective clothing" for the color of the national flag The problem of color matching under extreme conditions has been solved qualitatively, and the core technical difficulty of this national flag has finally been achieved.
While undertaking the project of displaying the national flag on the lunar surface, the relevant team of the university has also undertaken the aerospace projects such as the elastic thermal insulation components of the "tianwen-1" Mars probe, as well as relevant military scientific research projects.

After years of continuous cultivation and construction, the Ministry of science and technology has officially approved the construction and operation of the State Key Laboratory of new textile materials and advanced processing technology jointly constructed by the Ministry of science and technology of Wuhan Textile University. The overall technology of the project has reached the international advanced level, and the equipment application accounts for more than 50% of the domestic and foreign market segments, which has promoted the transformation and upgrading of the industry and achieved remarkable economic and social benefits. The project cooperative enterprise has also become the internationally famous major R & D and manufacturing base of high-grade industrial line twisting equipment.
