ADB Forecasts That China'S Economic Growth Rate Will Reach 8.1% In 2021
Manila, July 20 (Xinhua) China's economic growth rate is expected to reach 8.1% in 2021, which is in line with the bank's April forecast, according to a supplementary report released by the Asian Development Bank on July 20.
Driven by industrial production, exports and service trade, China's economy will maintain a growth trend, the report said. The report predicts that China's economic growth rate will reach 5.5% in 2022.
According to the report, although the new outbreak in 2021 is still the biggest challenge for regional development, developing economies in the Asia Pacific region will usher in economic recovery, and the economic growth rate is expected to reach 7.2%, 0.1 percentage point lower than previously expected.
