CCIA Standard Promotes Green And Sustainable Development Of Cotton Industry In Xinjiang

"Now the cotton plant has seven or eight leaves and two or three buds, which indicates that the field management is in place. At present, the cotton plant has very good precocity and growth, and basically meets the requirements of one sowing, whole seedling and early growth of strong seedlings." On June 2, Li Gengen, researcher of Cotton Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and chief scientist of Xinjiang China Cotton Seed Industry Co., Ltd., carefully observed the growth of cotton seedlings at CCIA new cotton variety demonstration base in Hongshan village, Dafeng Town, Hutubi County.

Changji Prefecture is an important high-quality cotton production base in Xinjiang. The cotton color is white and the lint is long and high-quality. The mechanized high-quality cotton base covers an area of more than 2 million mu and lint output exceeds 350000 tons. It has built two industrial clusters of cotton spinning processing and textile and clothing, with an annual production and processing capacity of 1.58 million spindles of cotton, 220 thousand tons of viscose staple fiber, and 20 million pieces of clothing. At present, the national cotton industry alliance has 250000 Mu high-quality cotton bases in Changji national agricultural science and Technology Park, Manas County, Hutubi County and Fukang city.

In recent years, the national cotton industry alliance has given full play to the leading and exemplary role of modern agriculture, planned the layout of high-quality cotton industry in advance, made efforts to promote the deep integration of "technology side + production side + demand side" integration layout, screened out the series of medium and high-quality cotton varieties such as Zhongmian 113, Xinluzao 82, and Zhongmian 88a, and created the "kuanzao you" standardized cotton planting mode, In addition, we have implemented the advanced technologies such as intelligent water and fertilizer integration, intelligent irrigation, and whole process mechanization to build the whole industry chain, forming a closed-loop operation mode of "one plant, one product" and "single product, single harvest and single rolling".

At present, according to CCIA standards, the national cotton industry alliance has certified 40 cotton production and processing bases in Changji Prefecture, Bazhou, Aksu region, the third division of XPCC, and completed the certification of 2 million mu of planting bases, so as to promote the green and sustainable development of Xinjiang cotton industry and enhance the international influence of China's cotton flower brand.
