In August, cotton growth generally entered the flowering and boll stage, which is the key link to determine cotton yield and fiber quality, and also an important period for cotton field water and fertilizer management and pest control. In the demonstration field of the national digital agriculture project of the 51st Regiment of Tumushuke, the third division of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, more and more intelligent field management technology is gradually applied. From high-altitude satellites, low altitude UAVs to various modern agricultural data sensors on the ground, agricultural production is more intelligent and efficient.

"This red area means that the drought is very serious. You can open the drip irrigation valve for a while while watering. This green area means that the crops are not short of water..." Recently, in the 5100000 mu cotton field, technicians are feeding back the cotton field information collected and analyzed by remote sensing drones to growers in a timely manner, and putting forward suggestions for field management and protection.

This is the result of monitoring and diagnosis of cotton growth in a wide range using the integrated remote sensing technology of "sky and earth". From the takeoff of remote sensing UAV to the completion of measurement, the data collection of cotton growth in thousands of acres of cotton fields can be completed in only half an hour. The technical personnel will analyze and process the collected information, and provide scientific and effective field management plans for farmers in combination with the recent trend of weather changes.

"The current stage is one of the key stages for cotton yield formation, and the regulation of water and fertilizer is very important for farmers' yield formation. We collect the spectral characteristics of cotton canopy through remote sensing data of UAVs, and then obtain the basic content of nitrogen on cotton leaves through data processing and analysis." Zhou Hao, an engineer of the digital agriculture project, said that according to the analysis results, Provide point-to-point guidance to farmers to ensure the nutrient supply in the cotton production process, and ultimately achieve better yield gains.

The flowering and boll setting period is the period when cotton needs the most water and fertilizer, and the amount of water and fertilizer required accounts for 60% - 70% of the whole growth period. Scientific allocation of existing water resources and fast rotation irrigation with "small amount of water and short cycle" can reduce the adverse effects of high temperature and water shortage on cotton growth. According to the data information collected by remote sensing UAVs, farmers can achieve accurate fertilization and irrigation, promote the transformation of traditional agriculture to modern agriculture, and achieve agricultural efficiency and farmers' income increase.

Tumushuke City of the Third Division is located at the northwest edge of the Tarim Basin in Xinjiang. It is rich in light and heat resources, which is very suitable for cotton growth. It is an important production base of high-quality commodity cotton in Xinjiang and even in China. In recent years, the local government has adhered to the development idea of "excellent cotton" and vigorously developed high-yield and efficient cotton fields based on high standard farmland. The process of large-scale planting, standardized production and industrialization of cotton industry has been accelerating, and the cotton planting area has reached 950000 mu. As "Internet of Things+Agriculture" realizes the deep integration of agriculture with informatization, intelligence and intelligence, modern agricultural science and technology and big data make agricultural production more "scientific and technological".
