Ministry Of Commerce: Cambodia'S Exports Of Clothing, Footwear And Tourism Products Increased By 17% In The First Four Months Of 2024

The Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia recently released a report that the export volume of Cambodian clothing, footwear and tourism products (GFT) in the first four months of 2024 was US $3.76 billion, up 17% year on year.

According to the report, during this period, the sales of clothing and textiles reached 2.75 billion US dollars, up 20.4% year on year. Footwear accounted for US $450 million, up 3.8% year on year; Tourism commodities accounted for US $560 million, up 14% year on year.

Cambodian clothing, footwear and tourism products industry is the largest foreign exchange earning industry in Cambodia. According to the data of the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training, the industry currently includes about 1680 factories and branches, providing jobs for about 918000 workers, most of whom are women.
