Vietnamese Footwear Enterprises Face Risks Due To Power Outages

NguyenDucThuan, President of Vietnam leather and Footwear Association, said that since the beginning of this year, many export contracts have been signed in 2010 due to the revival of the US, China and Korea markets.

However, according to the current power failure, they can not deliver the goods on time, which may mean that they will be heavily fined and may lose customers.

Last year, exports of clothing and textiles reached US $9 billion 100 million, ranking first in Vietnam's list of major exports.

At the same time, foreign exchange earnings from footwear exports amounted to 4 billion US dollars.
