The new national standard for children's wear has been implemented since August 1st this year, including children under 3 years of age.

Class a standards must be achieved, otherwise production and sales will be prohibited.

Recently, I visited many children's clothing stores in our county, and found that some of the children's clothes that were not up to standard were still sold. Many parents and salesmen didn't even know such a provision.

Walking into a shop on two street in the shopping mall of Ling Xi Town, the author picked up an infant clothing and asked the clerk about this.

Whether it is suitable for children aged 3 years old, the clerk said yes.

To check the tag, I found that the above mentioned security technology category is "GB18401-2003B class".

"B class can be worn closely", the clerk told the author.

"Does the new national standard do not stipulate that clothes for children under 3 years of age are Class-A?"

The author then visited a number of stores, found that most shops have category A, B products are sold, many shop owners also do not know the new standard of children's clothing.

For infants and young children clothing "new national standard" is not just a business, most consumers are not familiar with the "new national standard". Many consumers do not know what it means for class A, B and C of children's clothing tag.

"Buying clothes for children is generally a recognition of brand names. They are more comfortable with big brands and do not pay much attention to other contents on labels."

Ms. Li of new clothes told me that when I talked about the "new national standard", Ms. Li said she knew nothing about it.

It is understood that in the "new national standard", the definition of age for infants and young children extends from 0 to 24 months to 0 to 36 months, and the height is extended from 100cm to below 80cm.

For infants and young children under 3 years old, labels must be marked with "baby products, category A, GB18401-2010".

If there is no such standard, it is an unqualified product.

In other words, clothing is divided into three categories: A, B and C. Among them, class a clothing is for infants and girls, B clothing is for children except for infants and girls.
