At the 2020 China Africa textile and clothing international forum, the China Africa cultural exchange forum and the Fifth International Fashion Communication Forum, Chinese and foreign experts and scholars collided with each other in wisdom and had wonderful views.

This year, it is a new attempt to combine the China Africa International Forum on textile and clothing with the China Africa cultural exchange forum and the Fifth International Forum on fashion communication. Through the forum, the participants shared the development experience of China Africa textile clothing and cultural communication, enabling the innovation and development of China Africa textile industry.

The forum was broadcast live online, with sub venues set up by China and Kenya. Participants can participate in the interaction online and offline. A total of 133 experts and scholars from nearly 20 countries, including China, Kenya, the United Kingdom, France, Canada and the Netherlands, participated in the online interaction. Experts at the meeting held in-depth discussions on such topics as jointly building a knowledge sharing system between China and Africa, boosting the construction of a community of shared destiny between China and Africa, international fashion communication in the perspective of mutual learning among civilizations, and the dissemination of China's national image in the changing situation in the past century.

Ms. Ruth Carroll, world bank official, Mr. Michael Stanley Jones, director of the United Nations Environment Program and the United Nations sustainable fashion alliance, Dr. pan Friedman, official of the International University Alliance, and Zhao Xiyuan, the temporary representative of the Chinese Embassy in Kenya, were invited to participate in the online participation. 25 well-known experts from France, Germany and other countries made keynote speeches.

Liu Hongwu, President of the Institute of African Studies at Zhejiang Normal University, said that through equal dialogue and diversified exchanges, the knowledge, thought and culture of all mankind can be linked to form a truly shared knowledge system that transcends regional boundaries. Meng Jian, director of the national cultural innovation research center of Fudan University, proposed that to build a reasonable international communication system, we should establish a cultural concept of equality, mutual learning, dialogue and inclusiveness. As a unique part of the global fashion communication system, African culture should actively integrate into international culture

It is reported that the forum also focused on the textile and clothing industry, covering textile history, production technology, design and manufacturing, marketing management, etc., and received 75 contributions from home and abroad.
