People who pass by Kehai Avenue in Shaoxing for the first time will be attracted by the scene in front of them. The trucks are flowing continuously, the roar of the engine is mixed with the friction sound of the brake, and the colorful cloth on the wheels is like a flowing rainbow. These scenes remind people of the uniqueness of this road.

Keqiao, known as the "International Textile City", has formed a whole textile industry chain running through the upstream, midstream and downstream. Every year, a quarter of the world's fabrics are sold here to more than 190 countries and regions.

Zhang Shushuai, the driver, can't remember how many times he has driven his truck on Kehai Avenue. At most, he runs three times a day to and from Kehai Avenue. Since September this year, he has been running more frequently on this road, and it sometimes takes 2 hours for a one-way road of nearly 40 kilometers to meet the morning and evening peak.

"Gold Nine Silver Ten" has always been the sales peak season of Keqiao textile printing and dyeing industry. Recently, due to the promotion of e-commerce sales nodes such as Double 11, Black 5 and Double 12, Keqiao's textile goods shipments have also increased. According to relevant Internet freight platform data, from September to October this year, the platform's freight orders in Keqiao District, Shaoxing City increased by 24% year on year.

"Here, it only takes 10 days to make a batch of fabrics from a single yarn." Keqiao weavers made no secret of their pride in the local textile industry.

After September, Keqiao's enterprises became busy. Shaoxing Rurun Textile Co., Ltd. is a wholesale and retail enterprise of textiles, raw materials and auxiliary materials in Keqiao. Since September, the enterprise has purchased a large number of conventional raw materials to avoid the problem of rising prices of raw materials caused by e-commerce nodes such as the "Double 11", "Black 5" and "Double 12".

Fu Yefei, the general manager of the company, said that after the Mid Autumn Festival and the National Day this year, the company's textile orders had seen a large growth. The product orders during the Double 11 Festival this year had increased by about 30% compared with the same period last year. "October is the busiest month, and we send 6 to 8 trucks every day through the Internet freight platform during the peak shipment period," he said.

In Keqiao, truck drivers are the first group to feel the market changes after enterprises. Since October, Zhang Shushuai has got up earlier than in the past, drove out at 7 a.m., charged the truck before 8 a.m., and then started to pick up the cargo orders. He didn't go home until 10 p.m.

Zhang Shushuai worked in a textile factory for several years, and later left the factory to become a freight driver. He has been engaged in freight transportation for six years. He has passed almost every link of Keqiao textile industry chain many times through freight orders, and has left footprints in many factories in Keqiao.

In the eyes of truck drivers, all links of Keqiao's textile industry are connected by trucks.

But thirty or forty years ago, in some villages along the river in Keqiao, many families had black covered boats, and they rowed black covered boats to trade light textile fabrics. At that time, no one would have thought that Keqiao would become the world's largest textile distribution center with the most complete products.

Li Weimin, general manager of Zhejiang Husheng Textile Technology Co., Ltd., said he was the second generation of Keqiao entrepreneurs. More than 30 years ago, he came to Keqiao from Hangzhou, Shaoxing, and saw the development space of Keqiao textile industry. He was determined to create a world here. In this way, he has settled down in Keqiao printing industry for 30 years, and now he is also the supervisor of Shaoxing Small and Medium Textile Enterprises Promotion Association.

In fact, Li Weimin also used Wupeng ships to transport goods. "When there was cloth to be transported, we went to the boat and negotiated the price with the boatman. After the cloth was transported to the dock by the boat, we also needed to find a porter to pull the cloth to the designated place with a cart," he recalled.

The change of Keqiao is accompanied by the change of transportation means. After small boat accounts "wash their feet and go ashore", the mode of transportation has gradually become truck transportation.

After Li Weimin used the awning boat to pull goods for two years, the truck gradually became popular. He began to buy trucks and recruit drivers to pull goods, but he still had to face logistics pain points such as poor timeliness. After Internet freight entered Keqiao, Li Weimin decided not to keep drivers and vehicles, considering the cost. Now, more than 80% of Li Weimin's factory goods are transported through the platform.

Fu Yifei calculated that it would cost 20000 to 30000 yuan a month to raise a driver and a car. Every time the goods were transported, the trucks needed to be emptied and sent back, so the freight efficiency was not high. If a familiar driver happens to be busy, he will have to wait for half a day. It's not easy to find an unfamiliar driver outside. "With the use of Internet freight vehicles, the cost has been reduced by 70% and the efficiency has been improved by half," he said.

Changjiang Yiwei of Shaoxing Small and Medium Textile Enterprises Promotion Association recalled that with the rise of the Internet, the whole Keqiao textile industry experienced four reshuffles.

"The first round of shuffling was affected by the B2B e-commerce model, and Keqiao's textile industry began to access e-commerce channels; the second round of shuffling was affected by the B2C e-commerce model, and people began to shop and trade textile products online; the third round of shuffling was affected by the live broadcast of e-commerce, and textile enterprises began to carry goods live; Now Keqiao's textile enterprises are going through the fourth round of reshuffle, which is affected by cross-border e-commerce. Some enterprises have begun to open up overseas sales channels. " Jiang Yiwei said.

He said that each round of reshuffle also put forward higher requirements for the efficiency of freight transport, and the market is becoming more and more efficient. The live broadcast delivery channels are all spot goods. Many orders are delivered today and will be delivered tomorrow, which can only shorten the logistics time. The emergence of the Internet freight platform has accelerated the circulation of goods and solved the logistics pain point of Keqiao textile industry.
